The Yellow House by quietpurplehaze

The Yellow House

No, unfortunately, not that one and, as I've said before, how great it would be to meet van Gogh!
This house is in the square at Petersfield where there are beautiful old buildings and where the vehicles and pedestrians necessarily hamper the photography.
Wonderful shot! I like this so much!

Good morning Hazel - you come up with the coolest shots. I love this and your SC is fabulous. I have yet to master this method.

Love the yellow house with the rest of the photo in B&W. This is something I want to try when I get a chance to figure it out in my editing software!

This is lovely, I think Joules may do all their shops yellow, I think it is similar in Keswick. Did you go to Cafe Nero? They do a lovely almond cake or a lemon cheesecake - not that I have tried them obviously:0))

Excellent shot Hazel....a very good use of SC...trending too! I had never noticed that Joules shops were yellow...must watch out!

Ooh interesting - one of our clients lives near Pertersfield - he's been flooded this year despite being on a hill - water coming through the walls from saturated ground apparently. Looks pretty though.

Looks like a nice place...and The Cloisters cafe looks good for a coffee, too...better than Starbucks any day!

@judithg

Neil used to work in property management in Petersfield. Very nice area and in commuter belt - say no more.

@claireuk

I'll bear that in mind for next time, Claire. We went to Gypsy Kitchen this visit and I took a shot of my full English brunch but it looked too 'scrummy' to post!

@rangerxenos @vega

This is an in-camera option on the Fuji X20 - so I can't claim a lot of credit!

@killeen

I'll be interested to know how you get on with the different colours.

wow - just looked at your camera online - I really like the looks of it

@vega

I really like it - it has several interesting features as well as full manual controls, goes in my handbag. My only trouble was that I bought two wrong cameras before I found the right one!

Great capture and use of the camera`s possibilities. You master them.

Great sc here! The first thing I thought when I saw it was "Van gogh!" Then I read your caption. Ha ha!
