.... with the flooded river reduced to a blur in the background!
Having a go at 3 good things today but first I'd like to quote from Hamlet: "There's nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
1. Between torrential downpours, Jinks and I managed to get a dry walk.
2. My back 'tweaked' as I sat down to my bowl of breakfast porridge but at the pool (after the first 'ouch') I could swim OK and it feels not too bad now.
3. Just off to collect my new car fitted with rear parking sensors.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Just love the centre of focus on this shot, I wish the weather would just blur away, although to be fair today we have had dry and even sunny weather:0) Will we get to see a sneek peek at your new car?
Claire, I'm glad you asked me that as I looked back http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/just-another/2014-01-17
and found I've had the car one month and one day - seems like ages! Just getting rear sensors put on as I had them on my previous car - and you kind of get used to them!
p.s. no dry and sunny here today - very heavy showers interspersed with not so heavy showers and right now it's bucketing down and just had some thunder.
@quietpurplehaze Oh I had forgotten that you had posted that, how are you liking it? My son has a kia and he like it very much, he got his for the snow but we haven't had any this year! ;0)
I find it feels much larger inside than it is - such comfortable seats and ride. The gears take a little bit of getting used to - in my Micra I could almost (not quite) go round corners in 4th but the Kia needs to be driven in much lower gears at higher speeds.
I was glad to get back from the garage OK after writing that post as I thought I might be tempting fate!! (As long as it was only your car that was damaged.)
@quietpurplehaze Yes , on a big parking place a lorry was placed behind me with a iron rod as a bumper . Was n`t to see in the mirror and hit it hardly. But mine was made of plastic`s
Oh I've just remembered while reading what you said that I HAVE backed into a car!!!!!!!!!!! I reversed out of our drive into a car parked at the neighbour's house. I don't remember the make of car but stronger than mine as there was no damage to his car but quite a bit to mine. I think this is what is called 'selective amnesia' - I'm covered in confusion now! And just going to edit my post..........
Well it WAS dark and I WAS in a hurry to get to my teaching commitment and there are NEVER cars parked where that chap was parked. AND I didn't LOOK - AT ALL!!!
@quietpurplehaze Did you ever have the experience of something coming to your attention again and again over the course of a week or so? That's been the case with me and Hamlet lately. Everywhere I turn, I see or hear a reference from the play. :)
Vega, I feel a bit rusty sometimes!

Why are they good for snow?!
Tell me more!
Pre-365 how could I have imagined that a rusty fence post would be trending!!! Thanks for support!
Ah, thank you, now I understand!
I have to admit you`re a better driver than I. A few months ago I damage my back bumper by driving back. cost € 750

Something else we have in common! But I haven't had spooky Hamlet encounters!
