sol y sombra

Ray bought some pulsatillas to plant in the garden. I've never seen them in red before. I like the sun on the flowers and their shadows on the outside sill of the patio doors.
Are these Pasque flowers? They are lovely - I love anemones and these look similar.

@judithg

They are indeed, Judith (just had a quick google!) and pasque flowers will be so much easier to remember than pulsatilla. It's not an exaggeration to say that I learn something most days on 365!

Gardening time coming already......I am not a gardener myself but like ours to look good......lots of shrubs but i do like a few flowers......these are lovely !

@happypat

Pat, I have exactly the same sentiments - not a gardener but like it to look nice so it's lucky that Ray is a keen gardener!

@quietpurplehaze Harry is into the veggie bit & will tidy the garden but no planting of flowers. Considering that when we were milking he never set foot in the garden unless we were entertaining there he has been transformed. When I say he never went in & I mean to mow the grass too, now he does all that thank goodness. I do sometimes long for a cutting flower garden though!

Hazel, you are fortunate that Ray loves to garden & his choice of plants provide you with beautiful photo opportunities, Rays reward would be both your enjoyment of his diligent gardening. Great pov & lovely choice of plants/flowers & colours.

Oh I didn't know that - it seems a lot of beautiful plants are poisonous, amaryllis being another one!
