Street theatre, as this portrays, always fascinates me. We have a number of these frieze artists on our streets that travel globally just to stand still. Go figure. Yet they ply their trade and make enough to keep doing it. I have had a number of discussions with these busker types and they can make anywhere from three to five thousand dollars a week in the high season and they travel from high season to high season. Just a note. I use Topaz B&W software to create the effect you have done in camera. It allows more control over the colour selection process and allows you to concentrate on the creation process while shooting. What I probably mean is that by playing around with the photographs in a post production way rather than in camera you preserve the scene as originally seen through the lens and allow yourself the pleasure of playing around with all the possibilities afterwards. #justsaying

@peerden

Peter, interesting info, thanks. Like the idea of travelling globally just to stand still! I'm a bit of a luddite as far as post-processing is concerned, mostly just crop. bit of sharpen or HDR tweak and happy to let the camera do the work for selective colouring. Mine does all the colours of the rainbow but the primary colours are most effective. It's amazing how much red there is out and about in the street!
