double daffodil

Ray gave me some daffodils in fat bud. When they opened, the flowers were so full-blown that some of the stems were not equal to the task.

Anne, I guess these have been purpose-bred rather than being natural. It was exciting to see the fat buds in the greengrocer’s and wonder about them but rather sad in the end to have a vase of droopy daffs!
