Sometimes I like to revisit old photos and I've given this one a little bit of processing. (Years ago I'd have said, 'Processing, what does processing mean in photographic terms?').
I'm posting it for throwback Thursday although I don't know if anybody else ever posts for this now.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Nice job processing it. I have so many photos that I thought were so awesome (prior to processing, even minimally) and I wish I did know then what I know now, but I still love the old shots. Great throwback! Great processing.
I read the book "The Paris Wife" not too long ago, and bull fighting was a big part of the book. This is almost exactly what I pictured the bull ring looking like, but I have never been there (never even been close, actually...). Thank you for posting this! It is fantastic.
Claire, thank you - you have a good eye for seeing dates too (and for taking photos) and you made me smile. I have found it encouraging to look at old shots!
That's interesting. The idea of a bullfight fills me with horror. We also saw the bullring in Ronda, Spain, on holiday once. The seating was in 'sol y sombra'. Can you imagine sitting in the blazing sun watching the fight with the smell of blood etc - well sitting in the shade would not be much better - for me at least!

I agree, can what was good and what needed to be improved - and realise how much you've learnt!

Yes, we were staying not far from Arles in chambre d'hote at Maussane. France is my favourite place for a holiday.
