an extra poppy shot

I heard earlier on the radio that it's 25 years today since the Berlin Wall 'came down'. So my second poppy shot today is in remembrance of all the suffering the East/West divide of Germany caused to ordinary people.

I can't translate 'Joe Bloggs into German but I'm sure you know what I mean: just ordinary people like us all and families banned from seeing each other.

I remember the Berlin Wall coming down. David was in the RAF at the time and he was there. It was one of his last missions with the RAF before we came to Australia two months later.
