The red barn in the curve

Rainbow 2018
Red
Short story. My DH & I were out on a Sunday afternoon drive. We came around a curve and saw this barn lit warmly in the sunlight. Turned around and came back to park and take a photo. A lady in a house to the right of this barn on on the opposite side of the rode walked out to find out what I was doing. She suspected me of scoping out her barn in order to steal something. I told her what I was doing and got out of Dodge.
Nice capture Kathy.Sounds like you were lucky not to have the long arm of the law around you !! lol I wouldn,t like to live on that corner.Can you imagine hoons taking the corner to fast and wiping out the building.

It's so sad we've become so suspicious of people. Too bad you couldn't have sent her a copy of it- but if she was concerned about you then a hasty exit was in order! It's a pretty shot- with a "fun" story behind it.

Hello! As you know we're get pushed partners for this week.

Therefore, I shall give you a theme of "the night sky". I'm not exactly sure why, but it was the first thing that came to mind when looking through the albums! So a photo that incorporates that in some way, either directly or abstractly (though this time of year the night sky is rather pretty)!

Of course if you want a different theme (or are unable to do this one) I can always come up with something else. :D

I was going to suggest you try the same shot in different lights but that might not be a good idea.

@peterlgrave You're right, but I believe she even said her husband worked for the sheriff's dept. It po'd me because I wasn't anywhere near anything she had, just off the road taking the photos.
@olivetreeann I offered to show her my photos on my camera but she didn't want to see them.
@thewatersphotos Thanks Gary
@pusspup Thank you. I am too. But I had my husband with me, so he would have defended my honor.
@fbailey It was gorgeous just a few minutes previously.
@s4sayer I'll say.
@craftymeg Thank you. I guess this is more a Southern design.
@hajeka Thanks!
@tunia I doubt I get there any other time a day. It's a good 30 minutes from where I live.
@pyrrhula Thank you Ferry.

@randystreat I'll have to delay this get-pushed challenge until the weather is a little more cooperative.
