The last of the white tulips lost its luster and pretty much gave up to the 80 degree temperatures of the past couple days. Tulips don't do well in the heat- in fact, it's amazing they grow as well as they do in our temperate climate. Now it's time to think about replacing them with some heartier blooming plants for the warm weather.
How silky those petals are.....and, sad! I love bulb flowers, but they do not last, and then you have to leave them in the ground, and let the leaves wither for next year's bloom...
