Rose Beetles

My roses have started blossoming on the wall at the front of the house. I was so excited to see the buds but got a shock when I looked closely at this shot to see a whole bunch of beetles. Has anyone seen this or dealt with these before?

Oh no! I don't know much about gardening and/or roses, but that to me doesn't look particularly beneficial for the rose, surely.

Still a lovely capture. You've got beetles and I've got white fluffy bugs on my roses. Gave them a good spray of Dawn dishwashing detergent and warm water. Hopefully, they'll be gone tomorrow.

Not like the beetles that invade roses here. Roses are high maintenance flowers in my opinion. I guess that's why they are so beautiful.

Please, please don't use a pesticide Renee, despite what everyone is saying. Try spraying with washing up liquid or just be philosophical about it. Pesticides are so harmful to other insects and birds.
