loving the parsley, not sure about the rest

Spot the bunnies who snuck onto the Seder Plate to join us for the first night of Passover. The plate is also a Herend and hangs on a wall in our kitchen the rest of the year.
delightful image - beautiful plate

This shows how small the bunnies are.

Very cute bunnies! What an interesting plate. I’d spend a good while reading and looking at it instead of eating off it.

I know about the Seder meal and what the different items are and might be able to remember what most signify. I learned what a Herrend is on Sunday night and found out that one of the people in my group has one she described as a baseball game.

Your Passover plate is beautiful! I can make out some of the Hebrew letters (a limited knowledge- and now very rusty- thanks to seminary!) and I recognize most of the pictures. How special to have this as artwork for the rest of the year- it must be a prized possession.

@olivetreeann Thank you so much, it is very much a prized possesion and looks lovely on the wall

@randystreat Hi Kathy, I'm not sure what your friend was describing as a baseball game? Are they statuettes? Herend is hand painted pottery from Hungary.

My mistake. I was thinking it was the name of what was described as the passover guide but now realize I didn't remember it correctly. The guide was written somehow to use a baseball game as the background. I also now remember you saying your husband collected herend pottery. Excuse me.

@randystreat no problem - I think you are thinking of the word Haggadah - which we use as a guide on Seder night. Many have been produced with themes - we had one at the table with a Harry Potter theme 🤣
