This one *is* a ‘water lily’! by rhoing

This one *is* a ‘water lily’!

I titled a previous post “Water Lily” — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2014-09-16 — except that it wasn't: it was a “lotus” (which is from a different family altogether). If you're a "puh-TAY-toe/puh-TAH-toe" person, then I suppose this doesn't matter, but part of my fascination with the botanical world over the last few years has been the variety of flora and how they are different (the purpose of differences often having to do with *surviving*).

This is Nymphaea rustica 'Indiana', a particular cultivar or hybrid of “water lily.”

Yes, I think I would fall into that more narrow field and stick to, "It's a flower"
