A different sort of baby gift

Clare went to a baby shower recently and someone asked the mother-to-be if the nursery were ready. No, she said; we haven't been able to get a painter.

Clare & I discussed making this our baby gift to them, made the offer and they accepted. Today we began. Here we have the bedroom door off its hinges, electrical covers removed and part of the upper color done. (They will have a border running around the room midway up the wall.)

were at an all-day class together, so I took a few photos during the day for progress reports.

@maggiemae We've only hired painters twice -- one was a minor disaster, http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-01-18 All the other times, we have done it ourselves. So, yes, we kinda know what we're doing!
