Celebrating Clare's recent birthday with friends … outside of Lent. This is the soup course prepared by good friend Raymond, but only for Clare's birthday or special occasions (Christmas eve, for example). The first time he made this, it took him two days, so our joke has been that it's "day-old soup." In Clare's list of favorite foods, this is near the very top and most any fine restaurant would be happy to serve it, I'm sure.
