The water hens on our dam can walk (or run!) on water. This rather dreadful photo is the closest I have ever been able to get to catching them before they disappear into the rushes.
@fbailey Hi FB -great description - "twinkling along!!" - they are so funny to watch - they used to run the whole length of the dam. Now that they have babies they limit themselves to very fast paddling to encourage the babies towards the rushes. The babies are just gorgeous! Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob
