Mingo Falls just outside Cherokee NC and near the Blue Ridge Pkwy "Mingo Falls"Meaning “Big Bear” in the Cherokee language. At 120-feet tall, it is one of the tallest waterfalls in the Southern Appalachians. Steep climb up RR ties type steps and then a short hike on to the falls.The cloudy day made it perfect for photos.
