This is the closest I have ever gotten to a hawk. This was taken in Anahuac wildlife refuge. I creeped up towards the fence from a curve in the road. Another boarded shielded me from his sight. Then a slowly edged up around the fenceline and he never flinched. He had a watchful eye out for a meal.
