View from my window

This was the view from my bedroom window this morning - we were probably lucky because we only had about 2 inches of snow overnight. I thought of Mum today as it would have been her birthday and she would have been 92. She didn't like the cold so it's probably a good thing she doesn't have to worry about it now and she won't be worrying about me driving around the villages. I have had a good day - helping a really nice elderly couple who need a friend to give them some company and I happened to ring another lady who I was able to help and she said that she would like to help someone as the elderly neighbour she used to help has just died. I am planning to introduce her to the first couple as I think they will probably all be able to fill a gap in their lives. It is a really nice job I have and makes me very happy if I can help someone in this small way.
In no way can you say that is helping 'in a small way'. Hope it's not too cold with you as that looks a very Christmassy shot!!

You got the snow as we lost ours, I think. Mind we just have drizzle & temperatures of about 1 so not that much warmer; a pretty garden snow picture says it all!
