@piedfly I think you might be right Mark - it is a coal tit. I uploaded this very quickly and must confess that I didn't really have much time to look at it propertly as I was going to a funeral. I didn't realise that we got coal tits in the garden and just assumed it was a great tit. Silly me but thanks for pointing this out because I shall look a bit more carefully next time

@piedfly I should have known this was not a great tit by its size as it is the smallest of the tits as a friend of mine pointed out today when I showed him this picture
