I came across a photo of my lovely MR2 that I had to sell in 2001 because I had a back operation and just couldn't get in and out of it. When I saw the photo, it brought back lovely memories of me driving my car everywhere. Although it was a hard top, it was great to drive around but in winter, it was terrible because it was rear wheel drive! I had to get some lads to push me out of snow when I was health visiting and after that experience, I didn't do any more visiting that day! How I miss that car
Lovely sports car, I drove a new MR2 that looked exactly like yours. I have a photograph of every car I have ever owned, the memories of fun times in all those cars go back a long way. Sorry to hear you had to sell it. Was this taken on film?
It probably was taken on film but I can't really remember. If it was, then it was taken with a Pentax Zoom 7LR which I've still got but never use or it might have been taken with my Olympus point and shoot but I can't remember how long I've had the Olympus otherwise I would know which one it was taken with. The photo was among a few I took of my children when they were little and they are 40 and 42 now!
@bagpuss I didn't realise that I'd put 400 on here and wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said. What do you ean about 100 if I follow you? I am following you and clicked on your project but couldn't understand what you meant
Rosie, this brings back memories for me of my lovely shiny 'merlot' MX5. I had to give it up because of a bad back - it got to the stage when it was ridiculous practically crawling in and out of it! I did enjoy it for the 5 years that I had it and it was special to me as I bought it with a little inheritance my father left me.
@maggie2@grammyn Thank you. Funnily enough this was taken in the drive of our present house although we were not living here at the time because our house belonged to Steve's Dad and I had called in to see him the day I took this. We used to live further round the corner in the village.
@rosiekind Yes it's a good job we did enjoy them - but strangely my bad back is practically non-existent now! I shall make no mention of aches & pains in other parts of my anatomy!!!
@quietpurplehaze Lucky you. Unfortunately I was left with permanent nerve damage because they didn't operate on me soon enough and like you I have aches and pains all over the place. Those get better as the day goes on though which compensates for the fact the nerve pain gets worse as the day goes on!
@rosiekind Rosei - I do feel for you. I'm really lucky with my back now (I do a lot of swimming) but have a niggle in one shoulder and the other elbow!! If my back does play up a little bit now & then I have a small TENS machine & also find a hot wheatbag is v comforting.
