This is actually not the parent of the little scrawny magpie in my other album but I was pleased to take this because magpies have such tremendous eyesight that it's a job to get anywhere near them to take a pic. I'm glad I've got my new Nikon because I don't think I could have taken this without 42 x optical zoom! Actually I'm not sure which camera this was taken with so won't know until I look at the Exif info because I forgot to check. It was a pic I took a couple of weeks ago. This was actually taken with my Lumix so must have been a bit closer than I remembered.
