This little thrush had been feeding a baby on the lawn underneath the feeders. She had been picking up bits of sunflower hearts that the other birds had dropped. She is now a regular visitor but I'm pleased to see that she brought her baby with her. I will probably post one of those tomorrow. It was very frustrating today as I went for a walk with my camera this afternoon and thought I had put the spare battery in which was fully charged. Wrong!!!! This pic was taken through the kitchen window this morning. I landed up walking about 4 miles because I cut through a wood I hadn't been to before but of course couldn't take any pics. How frustrating!
@esox Yes Martin it was a mistake as I grabbed my camera quickly to take pics of her feeding her young one. This meant going upstairs and getting the camera out of it's bag etc. and I didn't realise at the time, it was still set with such a high ISO because I had been taking pics yesterday of the young blackbird in the conifer which was quite dark and hadn't changed the setting. I usually shoot most things with an ISO of 100 unless the light is not very good. It's a shame that I've got noise through not waiting a couple of secs to check what it was set at. I think it was also set on macro and the thrush was about 30ft away!
@rosiekind I have done this to and also the worst thing I do is sometimes leaving the self time and framing upa ggod bird shot press shutter and have the fly away while waiting for the timer.
