I've been to Shefford to give out blankets and advice to elderly and sick people to help them stay warm at home today. I also have got some more volunteers for a Good Neighbour Group that I'm trying to set up there as the GP surgery has now moved out of the middle of the town. I have met some lovely people and it has been a very worthwhile day! I've worked well beyond my hours again so I've got to try to get the time back but goodness knows how. After I left, I went for a quick walk around Priory and didn't see as many birds as I would have liked as time was getting on but I did see a lot of sparrows. Poor birds really do suffer in this cold weather. Please put some food out for them and try to ensure that they have fresh water as it freezes over so needs replenishing regularly. Birds need water as well as food to keep well and lakes, etc. are frozen at the moment. Please have a look at the frozen lake in my other album
Rosie, you have a very kind heart and it shows in your shots. I love the birds also and do feed them, and the deer, raccoons, fox, chipmunks, porcupine etc..... You are a good soul.
