This is a bit of a come down after getting my robin on PP yesterday but I haven't had much time so I've had to make do today. This little sparrow was sitting on the fence waiting to see what I was going to put out for him to eat. I was pleased to see him though as we don't usually get many sparrows in the garden as they seem to frequent the other end of my road. He's not so pretty as a robin but I still like him and he needs my help to keep him fed and watered just like the rest of the birds. I have been to a Community Safety event where we had a stand so didn't get home until 3.45 which is late for me as I should finish work at 2pm. I had to get the fire going before I could do anything else as its been freezing fog and ice and a generally miserable day. I got my colleague to drive to Millbrook Proving Ground and they decided it was too skiddy to demonstrate the skid track!
Lucky little sparrow. I'm so lucky not to be working - hats off to you for working for the good of others. I was going to head off to the park for some freezing fog pictures this afternoon, but instead went with one I took this morning.
@carolmw It sure has been horrible weather today and the poor birds have been flocking to the feeders again but I haven't had much time today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better
@judithg We don't often see sparrows in our garden but all the finches are there in great numbers. It's strange that they have overtaken the humble sparrow
@snowy Thank you
