This little siskin and female chaffinch were enjoying their breakfast before I went to work this morning. At the moment, I am having to fill all the feeders every day. As you can see, this one is nearly empty and I took this before filling it up
Lovely shot wish I could get siskin in our garden, only get the odd chaffinch, they are all one garden down, should not moan though had a wonderfull song thrush on the bird table past three days
@esox@mejbronant We seem to have a few coming now. I just liked the fact that the sisking was sharing the feeder with a chaffinch as only a few minutes earlier, there had been 3 siskin on the feeder.
@carolmw Thanks Carol @judithg Yes they'll be back to keep themselves going while they feed their babies. It's a lovely time of year and I hope we get lots of nests and babies again
Another lovely shot, the focus is just perfect, what lens are you using? Perhaps you can tell we what I'm doing wrong, I haven't managed to attract any wildlife onto my bird feeders, it's soooo frustrating!
Terrific shot Rosie. My garden birds are eating the fat balls and snacks on the bird table, but the seed feeders aren't going down very much at all. I can picture your garden now - thanks for showing me round this afternoon.
@jo13 Jo I also have lots of different food for the birds - sunflower hearts, nyjer seed, suet balls, peanuts, mealworms, dried fruit - raisins, etc. and suet pellets of differing flavours. It costs me a fortune by I love watching the birds. This one however, was taken along the cycle track
@busylady It was a pleasure Judith. Sometimes the birds take a while to get used to knowing that there is seed in the feeders but I'm sure they will come to yours soon
@rosiekind Thanks for that Rosie, I shall give it all a try, I can see them in my neighbours garden, but they just haven't spotted that there are all sorts of goodies in my garden!!
