Who's the odd one out? by rosiekind

Who's the odd one out?

When I looked at Mrs Mallard with her ducklings at Priory this afternoon, I wondered whether ginger duck had a different father. She was keeping them all close to her - 6 surviving at the moment.

I have now discovered why I have to keep changing the date on my pics each day which keep reading April 2011. This camera wasn't even out then but for some reason the date has gone mad and this is the date that my camera says so I have now changed it to the correct date. Weird or what?

Alternative pic of a duck with 11 ducklings can be found on 25 April Bits & Bobs album
The lighter one looks a it bigger. Wonder if he is a foster duckling?. Great shot

It will be interesting to see the colours of the feathers as the light duckling matures....it is obviously the same kind...same markings, just lighter...wonder if it is a 'leucistic' type...not albino but with some feathers not having the colour?
