Burying his head in the sand by rosiekind

Burying his head in the sand

I couldn't resist this one of the oystercatcher digging away for food. I just thought he looked amusing and I liked the light on the water in this shot.

It has been another lovely hot day and I went for a long walk but tried to keep in the shade as much as I could. In order to get some of my favourite pics on here, I'm tending to post a bit behind the date I took them so hope I'm not upsetting the apple cart! However, as everyone has said before - it is my project and I do take pictures every day! I just don't always post them on the day I took them! The young birds in the garden are becoming very tame and a little robin actually sat on Steve's hand yesterday but the settings on my camera were all wrong so it didn't come out! I was gutted but I did take some good pics of him on the ground by my feet. He nearly came in the front door when I fed the birds in the morning. We did actually have a young blackbird who decided to come in and went upstairs. He was a bit of a naughty boy though because he pooped a few times around our bedroom - 4 times on the duvet. Steve saw him there and let him out so he was a happy little bird.

Thank everyone for your kind comments and Favs - always much appreciated.
Brilliant to see this happening. Love the stories too.

Had to read it twice as I thought it was Steve that had 'tried to get in' through the front door when you fed the birds this morning... I trust you kept him out (Steve not the bird!)
