This is actually a filler from a few days ago as it is pouring with rain here. I have been digging over the vegetable patch now that all the potatoes have been lifted and so haven't had much time to go walking. However, I did take a quick walk along Wood Lane but didn't get anything very interesting. This collared dove was taken up Wood Lane. I think they have pretty little faces and I just liked the texture of the tree she was sitting in.

Aww so lovely. I have a very young collared dove in my care at the moment after what looks like a broken wing. Very tricky to know what to do for the best when this happens
@rosiekind I just don't know. I once kept a pigeon with a broken wing for several months before I realised it was not fair nor kind and took it to the vet! This baby is quite strong and moves both wings. I am hoping with time the wing might work again. It is in an enclosed area where it's mum can get to. I have been feeding it porridge oats and putting it in a little coop at night. Blimey I am such a softie!! Off now to put it away,
