I'm posting early because I'm starting work at 12 o'clock today as I have an afternoon meeting. I couldn't understand why the blackbirds were going mad shouting their alarm calls and all the little birds were flying wildly about and then as I was walking back I realised why. This jay came down on the road and commenced drinking from a puddle in front of me. He was quite a way away but with Big Bertha, I managed to get this shot which is SOOC apart from a crop and a frame added. They are pretty birds but attack the little birds for food. I suppose it's survival of the fittest and all that - nature and it's probably a good job we don't get too many around here. It's the second one I've seen in the past couple of months - the last one was briefly in our garden and I think I posted a shot then but this one is a better one I think!
Best viewed on black if you have time and thanks for all your kind comments and Favs. I shall be back later!
