I have had a lovely day with Pixiemac and we went looking for kingfishers at a new venue without success. After lunch we went to my usual site and although we spotted him once and heard him whistling, we didn't get any shots. Sarah likes adventures and we walked through the woods resulting in me getting nutted by my Nikon! I tripped and fell over and although I managed to save my camera, it landed up hitting me on the forehead and I've ow got a nice bump which my fringe fortunately covers. I didn't own up to this adventure to Steve because he would have said "I told you so" and I think he thinks Sarah is a bad influence on me LOL!!!!
Anyway, as I walked back into the house, I noticed this redpoll on the feeder in the front garden so I decided to post him.

Lovely to see a redpoll! I haven't had these in my garden. What are you two like! Hope your head recovers but good job you saved the camera! Lol! Sounds like a good day out except for your accident of course!
