Brambling at RSPB

It has been an extremely windy day following a very windy and wet night! However, I have had a lovely time with my great friend Sarah @pixiemac and we went up to RSPB HQ in Sandy this morning. After having a brambling visiting my garden yesterday, I managed to get a better picture of one today at RSPB. Beautiful birds.

What a great image - with those sharp leaves in the foreground too. I have always been disappointed with what I have seen at the RSPB head quarters, but the brambling is a new species for me and looks delightful.
