Exploring the new feeder

I went up to RSPB yesterday especially to buy a squirrel proof nut feeder as Squizzer is just getting through far too many nuts! I put it up at about 4pm and this morning this little blue tit had worked out what it was for and climbed aboard to sample the nuts. I am pleased that he likes it.

I saw a mistle thrush in the garden this morning but hadn't got my camera to hand so didn't get a shot but was pleased to see it coming for the suet pellets and sultanas that I put out at breakfast time. In my Bits & Bobs album I will show you what Squizzer thought of the new feeder.

Having commenting on your squirrel photo, it might have a job on with this feeder.

Guess I'm just a softy...squirrels are hungry, too! Just me, but I'd forego a lot of different groceries to be well stocked in seed of all sorts and peanuts! I'm even giving my squirrels a couple of shelled pecans each day since I have them out on the counter to make candy!

We have the same problem Rosie! You can do the research for us! We buy sacks 10 or 12 kilos can't remember, they are around £22 they last no time! We don't mind them but could do with them eating less!
