Bas is the dearest little bird and we love him to bits. He always comes out to play in the kitchen about 4 o'clock in the afternoon before I get the dinner. He has a huge cardboard box that I keep his toys in and he loves nothing better than to chew his way through the cardboard. His toys consist of empty plastic medicine pots with lids that he likes to push around the floor. He can be a bit messy but he's having fun so you just have to clear up when he goes back in his cage. After dinner he comes out again and plays for about an hour in the lounge. He mostly spends time being scratched all over by either me or Steve and when he's ready, he tugs at the curtain between the lounge and the conservatory to let us know that he wants to go to bed. In the morning, he sits on my shoulder when I take the coffee up to bed and spends about half an hour to an hour under the covers. He loves to snuggle down in the bed.
There, I think I've told you most things about our adorable pet! Thank you for getting all 3 of yesterday's photos on PP and for all your kind comments and Favs. It is always much appreciated.
@rosiekind Today has been such a wonderful one, filled with hope here. At least among my circle of friends. He had such a consistent message of unity that I hope people can take heart that he means everyone.
My Dad used to breed parrots and cockatoos, they are real characters, but al too often left sitting in their cage. It is great to hear that yours has so much stimulation. Also, you are lucky that yours will go to both you and Steve, they are so often one person birds, or one gender birds at least.
