Taken at the Finger Lake in Priory Country Park. I was a bit concerned and I turned round to see a young lad standing watching me. He said that he had done a photography course at college but got bored with it and left to start work. I had read on the police email that a 17yr old boy had been touching females inapropriately in Bedford so it made me suspicious but I think he was genuine and was probably OK but it does make you think. What a shame I had read about it only that morning and felt vulnerable. However, when we walked out onto the main path he asked whether I was going to carry on further away from the main part of the park but I said that I was going back as I needed to get home. What a shame that we all have to feel suspicious these days as I'm sure he was probably perfectly OK and I did tell him that it was nice to speak to him. It would be a shame if we felt unable to communicate with young people as I'm sure we can learn so much from each other
Nice capture! You can't be too careful these days. I'm glad I grew up when I did. Life was much simpler and we were all more trusting of each other. I'm sure there were crazies out there but we didn't hear about it so much.
@vernabeth@soboy5@hudd@busylady@carolmw Thank you for your kind comments. After thinking about it, I think the lad was probably quite genuine but it is a bit unsettling sometimes
