The mallard quietly slept while the cormorant stood in the sunshine drying his wings after having a bit of a bath/swim. I set the ISO to auto this afternoon as the sun kept coming out and then going in but to be honest I wasn't impressed with the results. Obviously the camera doesn't know what I like! Still if you don't try, you don't know.
When I stood watching the cormorant, I was actually over the other side of the river really trying to get some pics of the reed warblers who were making a lot of noise in the reed bed near the boating lake. However, I did see them but didn't manage to get any pics. They are so hard to get a look at let alone a shot.
