Ménage à trois

It's not very often that you see 3 robins in close proximity and I'm not sure what these were up to. It looks like the one on the right is doing some sort of courtship dance so he is probably trying to woo one of the robins on the right. Perhaps he can't make up his mind or neither of them fancy him as they have their backs to him. I shall have to read up all about the courtship of robins! I saw these birds on the way back from the brook this morning. I didn't have much luck as I only saw the kingfisher fly past once but I wasn't there very long. I think I should have gone out earlier when the sun was shining because once the clouds came over, it wasn't so nice and perhaps they like the sunshine better.

Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
Well done, Rosie. I have trouble capturing just one robin!

I'm sure this could have quite a story attached. The two with their backs turned look a bit sheepish.

@darrenboyj No funnily enough I wasn't but I was some distance away so I think it might seem like I was lying down
