Pam pointed out to me yesterday Woodie Woodpecker feeding a younster in the silver birch tree. Well today, I saw Mr Woodie and 2 younsters. One of them was sitting in the gutter on the garage and the other fluttered trying to stand on the washing line near the feeder where his Dad was but by the time I got my camera, they had gone. However, I had to get some shots of Dad in the tree probably getting a bit fed up with me pointing that big black thing at him.
I am using my spare D5300 at the moment with the 300mm lens because it's lighter and easier for me to get about with while my foot is dodgy so I don't have the fear of dropping it. I have been out in the garden filling feeders again this morning but I think I had better slow down a bit otherwise I could have problems with my foot so I have been typing letters for Steve this morning and generally looking through some old photos. I really must do a backup of my laptop as I have copied photos onto a portable hard drive but haven't done a full back up for ages - naughty me! I promised myself I would back it up regularly and I have become lapse again!
It was lovely to see Pam and Sarah yesterday and I really enjoyed being treated to lunch - thank you girls!
