My wife is a devotee of this miraculous statue of Christ the Redeemer. Every year, during the Christmas period, she asks me to take her to Senglea to pay Him a visit. She has her own car but prefers being driven there. Even because there is always a possibility of taken some pictures from a region which I rarely have the necessity to go to I oblige. The statue is in an oratory annexed to the Senglea Basilica. I took this shot, focusing in the candles, after I had paid my homage to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture. I will show updates every now and then. That is going to be a great challenge for me - have to learn many things before I finish the first project.
so tranquil looking image---lot of churches now they used modern/electric(?) candles--i prefer the real oldfashioned thing where u can still smell the aroma of the candle...guess,they're $$$aving...:)
Thank you for sharing. You reminded me to visit such a place and I'll do it sooner. Besides there will be Christmas in our orthodox church soon - on the 7th of January! Fine shot, I mast say!
