My son, Jean-Pierre (JP for short), who is a Psychiatrist, has for a long time been tired up of being stuck in traffic. First, about 1-2 years ago, he exchanged his big Opel to a much smaller car, a Fiat Abarth 500. He has now decided to buy a motorbike. So while we were together in Gozo he asked me and Ian (my son-in-law) to walk with him to a motorbike dealer so he could see some bikes. This is him trying one of those available. Since then he has bought one from another shop. Mind you he still has to get his bike licence.
Our worries will begin when he starts driving the bike.
Joke: A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop.
The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage "Hey Doc, want to take a look at this?"
The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his ha nds on a rag and said, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new.
So how come I make $39,675 a year, a pretty small salary and you get the really big bucks ($1,695,759) when you and I are doing basically the same work?"
The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the mechanic................................
"Try doing it with the engine running."
Thank you so much for looking and for your lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
I have no sons and both daughters have refrained from motor-cycles. I can understand your concern. From personal experience many years ago I know they are dangerous in traffic. No protection and little stability.
Cool selective coloring you went with in this pic. Boys will be boys, even when they're all grown up. But dads will be dads and worry about those boys none the less, right? Really good joke.
I know what you're going to go through! My son built his own Harley after buying an old Harley chase (do they call the frame that on a motorcycle?). So far he has done everything but hook it up so that he can take it out on the road. I good with that! But the day he starts riding it for real...! Looks like JP likes them fast!!
