Shot taken on Easter Monday – our last day in Gozo. Enlarge for best view, if you have time. Thank you.
Amazing how many interesting pictures you can take while relaxing in the balcony with your camera in hand. This shot is of this sparrow that was busily building its nest in this old crane which was near our guest house.
Joke: Mrs Smith and her 5 year old son were in the balcony of their apartment enjoying a beautiful sunset after days of heavy rain.
At one time the son said to his mum: 'Mum, when I was on the bus with Dad this morning, he told me to give up my seat to a lady.'
Mrs Smith lovingly asked: “Did you obey?”
Son: “Well mum, how could I refuse?”
Mrs Smith: 'Well, you have done the right thing.'
Son: 'But mum, I was sitting on daddy's lap.
Many thanks for looking and for all the lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
This is wonderful Dione. I love the joke. He certainly dropped daddy in it. It reminds me of getting a lift into Belfast from the wife my education lecturer. His wife was driving. As we headed into the manic traffic their son piped up, "Mummy, why are there no ba****ds on the road when you drive and lots when daddy does!" Did his neck go red!!!
Birds find odd places for their nest. One built in the lower part of my mail box. Every time I stopped to get the mail the bird flew into my car. It must have don't that to the mail carrier's vehicle as well. Thanks goodness the babes have left the nest.
Your bird looks like he's towing something. I liked the joke.
