Shot taken on Easter Sunday. Best viewed enlarged, if you have time. Thank you
In the evening JP invited us to spend some time at the hotel where they were staying. This is a view of Mgarr Harbour from the balcony of his 6th floor room. It was full moon on that day and the moonlight lit the sea around the harbour.
Mgarr Harbour, Gozo, serves as a port for the Malta-Gozo ferry service, as a small yacht marina and as one of the harbours for the fisherman.
Joke: In the absence of her husband, Maria from Mgarr, wife of one of the fishermen, decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and relaxes in the boat reading her book.
Along comes the harbour master. He pulls up and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?"
"Reading a book," she replies
"You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her.
"I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading."
"Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up."
"If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault," says the woman.
"But I haven't even touched you," says the fisheries bloke.
"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment."
The fisheries bloke quickly said "Have a nice day ma'am," and left.
Many thanks for looking and for all the lovely comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
This scene is far better than the joke, if I may say! The moonlight on the water is easily identifiable and well captured in spite of the bright lights towards the front of the picture! fav
