In what better way could I end my series of shots on this fishing village if not by a picture of the fishermen mending their nets! So here is one shot I took of them busy at work. I like how they handle the net, stretching the net with their toes so that their hands can be free to work on the net.

I would think they would have very sore backs bending over like that for any period of time!! Awesome composition and love the dog to the right, watching them work!! FAV!
This is a wonderful view Dione. When I know I'm heading for the coast my costume, snorkel, flippers and mask go with me. Yes I hoped to get the opportunity. My visit to Marsaxlokk would have been better except first stop was lunch!
Great shot . To daty we do n`t see it any more but in the past often. Mostly done by woman. Many Dutch painters made this his subject ( Haagse school schilders)
