Full name: La Santa María de la Inmaculada Concepción.
Less than 5 minutes down to the river is situated the Pier of the Caravels, a museum with replicas of the three ships that participated in the discovery of America: La Niña, La Pinta and La Santa Maria. The replicas were built in 1992 to celebrate the 500 anniversary. This is a shot of the Santa Maria.

Oh this has brought back a memory for me! When I was at junior school, I took part in a singing festival ( we are talking about 46 yrs ago) & there was a song about Christopher Columbus & his three ships the Pinta, the Nina & the Santa Maria. I don’t remember the words other than the chorus. This boat doesn’t look big enough to have achieved what it did! Amazing.
Do they ever let the sails down?
Nicely taken.
