This is another shot from last Sunday when we went to see the Ħal Għaxaq procession. In Malta this statue is known as ‘Il-Monument’ – The Monument showing Jesus in his not so common grave. I was unsure what to post for this day so you get this.
Yesterday, having nothing particular to do, we went to watch another Good Friday procession, this time at Mosta, but this time I decided not to take the camera as shooting one procession in one year was enough but I tried a few shots of the Mosta ‘Monument’ with my mobile but I failed miserably. The Mosta ‘Monument’’ is much more elaborate than this one. Maybe next year.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
It is certainly a reflection of His royalty but as you said He was not laid in such stately fashion. I like how in a sense it is a reminder of what He gave up to accomplish on the cross. Good shot.
