I had been telling myself "you must wake up early to take some sunrise shots" for more than a month and last Friday, because at midnight of Saturday we were to return to Winter time, I told myself that the last chance I had was Saturday morning as it would be impossible to wake up an hour earlier than usual. And that is the reason for the title.
So I went to Balluta to find a different spot to take my pictures but after a couple of 'blue hour'shots I realised I would not capture the rising sun from that pov. I therefore walked about 200 metres out of the bay to another point which had been on my mind - just below the 16th century watch tower where a wind vane (at east that what I think it is) was placed a few years ago.
I couldn't capture the sun rising from the waters though because of the thick layer of couds that covered the horizon. The colours of sunrise were beautiful, still.
Thanks a lot for your views, comments and fav's. - they are ever so much appreciated.
Well done for getting up! Harder work in Winter but the colours are usually far more spectacular and worth it. This is gorgeous. I like the weathervane and fisherman
