September 15th –second day of our Sicily holiday with the family.
The sun was scourging, like every other day unlike last year’s Sicily holiday with the family when most of the days were cloudy and cool sometimes even cold. We avoided the sun as much as we could. I think the shot on the left gives a clear idea of this. On the right is a shop front which I saw and captured in this street. I liked the name which is definitely not Italian because the letter ‘y’ is not found in the Italian alphabet.
Thank you so much for your views, comments and fav's - much appreciated.
The architecture doesn't seem to make much allowance for hot weather - no overhangs on the roof lines. I guess that goes with the vintage of the buildings. Thanks for the info about the lack of a "y" in Italian - that was really interesting. :)
