well.....after seeing Jennifer's lovely crocosmia picture I went to try and capture my own more successfully than first time!!
But look what I found growing in the flower bed!
I think there is wheat, barley and oats here...........not a farmer though so happy to be corrected!
If you look closely at reflections you may see Allan taking the photo while I hold the 'bunch of flowers'!!!!

these grasses are lovely.
One of tehm is now in my garden courtesy of the birds chucking seed around from their feeder , Like you I like its nodding heads.
Yes I can see you !! I'm afraid I don't know what this is either Sallie I would think barley for sure but not 100%. Love how you have caught the fronds so well !
@june Ah thanks June...........the spot they were growing in is pretty close to where Allan hangs the bird feeders! That is probably the source! @happypat The ones with thin 'strands' are barley, the chunky ones are wheat and the other 'spaced out' ones (!!) are oats.
