You've no idea how weird it feels to be talking about my sons like that!!!!
Anyway I just love the photo because of Connor and because of the shawl. I knitted it for David before he was born and used it as a special occasion one for Laura and Jonathan too. (Knitted a different one for Susannah some years later)
It's the same pattern as the one my mum knitted for me. I looked it out last summer when David and Jenn were home and they both were so appreciative of it that I was delighted to wash and stretch it and have it ready for their little guy.
He's such a big baby I don't think he will really need it much, but it's lovely just seeing this photo.
The first thing I thought when I saw this lovely photo after looking at your handsome grandson of of course, was how beautiful & soft the shawl was Sallie! Finding out you knitted it for dad David all those years ago is very special...what a treasure!
What an adorable photo of Conner. That is such a beautiful shawl and I can't get over how lovely it is after all these years. Hopefully it will keep passing on to the next generations.
Connor will feel all that love, what you knitted inside your every stitch of that beautiful shawl ! And it`s really fine that the parents of Connor can appreciate your work.
