catching the light

What a lovely day we've had. Warm with a gentle breeze and great light! I love these lilies which a friend brought a few evenings ago.....she can't deal with the perfume of them....and I love it!

Three good things
1. we had son Jonathan for the w/e .....just comes 17 miles from Aberdeen but we hadn't seen him for a while. His new job gives him every weekend off and he is enjoying it!
2. Had a gentle day...long sleep, walk to church, lovely lunch and sat in the sunshine..............
3. I found a pair of white trousers that I'd forgotten I had...........perfect for my holiday wardrobe!
Such beautiful light Sallie & love the way you have them in the tall vase with some treasures beneath them.
i have lilies on my dining table...I buy them because they suit the room, last a long time & send their divine smell all over the room , lovely for visitors when they walk in the house...that's if they like lilies of course!!

@happypat @gijsje Thank you Pat and Bep. I love lilies and like you say Pat they do last really well. Usually they are in the hall on a little table and my other friend Pat has a little ritual bow to smell them when she arrives for Thursday Housegroup! Makes us all smile! I really feel for anyone who doesn't enjoy the smell!

Ooh lovely - I love lilies too but have to remember that some people can't cope with them. I think we must all have summer clothes that we can't remember this year!!

@judithg Thank you Judith - I'm wondering what other summer clothes may be hiding!! Must have a real clear out of wardrobes! Since the young people have moved out (except for high days and holidays) I have things in all their wardrobes! But mostly cosy stuff in my own as so needed!
