I just love this tree.........it's in the corner of Dad and Mum's garden and those of you who know me well will have seen it before.
Thought it appropriate photo for today as it was planted on the day of the coronation of King George VI....................and since the new baby prince is called George!!!
My mum as a school girl was at the planting ceremony but didn't even imagine she would live in this house! Now she and Dad have lived here for 56 years!!! He knows every inch of the garden with his eyes closed and has grown an awesome range of vegetables and fruit year after year!
Three good things
1. Good health to grow and use fresh fruit and vegetables
2. Visitors today - my cousin and his daughter travelled all the way from the Isle of Lewis to visit Dad and Mum today. They hadn't seen each other for several years so it was a lovely day.....6am ferry this way and 11pm ferry home......quite a long day as they had journey at other end and queue time too!
3. Lovely lunch, catch up chat and getting to know people in a different way.
Sounds like you have had a fabulous catch up....indeed a long journey but lovely weather to travel in.....our mum & dad will have enjoyed reminiscing!
